Curriculum

Our curriculum is focused on the whole child approach.

Each month, we choose a theme to guide our learning activities, covering all areas of early childhood development

Our curriculum is well planned and includes everything preschoolers need to learn. We have fun activities all day long that help kids learn language, move their bodies, be creative, understand science, and get along with others.

Books are where it all begins! By touching them, looking at the pictures, picking out the ones we like, and listening to stories, we start to fall in love with learning and reading.

When your child listens to a story, they learn important ideas that help them understand the world. Discussing the story afterward is nearly as crucial. When children share their thoughts and answer questions, they understand more and enhance their language skills.

We believe in making math enjoyable! With hands-on activities and games, we learn important concepts. We focus on building a strong foundation in numbers. Through fun activities and interactive lessons, we explore concepts like bigger than, smaller than, more, and less. Our aim is for children to understand these concepts well and see how they work in everyday life.

Through play, learning and following a daily routine we help your child to develop the skills of decision making, critical thinking, independence, self-acceptance, and respect for their peers.

In the early years, there is a thin line between fantasy and reality. When we help a child reach reasonable conclusions by demonstrating cause and effect, we reinforce his or her understanding of the real world.

Creative art is all about getting hands-on: touching paint, cutting, gluing, and embracing the mess. Colors, textures, and smells inspire creativity. There are no limits in art, expanding our minds and hearts.

We encourage the child to verbalize and use logical reasoning and consequences as a means of solving the problem at hand.

Redirecting:

Children exhibiting behavioral challenges will be offered choices and redirected to

other activities.

Remove Child from Situation:

After all positive techniques have been referred to, the last alternative is to remove the child from the situation, till he/she has relaxed and calmed down and is capable of returning to the group.

A preschool day at My Room to Grow has six distinct segments that balance:

Learning and Play

Structure and Choice

Group Activities and Individual Exploration

Children sitting on floor and reading tale book in preschool library
