Toddlers

"Fluttering Beginnings: Follow Me, Toddlers Ready to Explore!"

In our toddler classroom we encourage the curiosity of these energetic young learners as they discover their growing world. We embrace the thrilling time when your child, nearing age two, starts to show independence. We Provide a loving, nurturing atmosphere for toddlers to explore and learn through play.

Our approach focuses on:

We encourage student to sit for short periods during both large and small group activities. We read, we play, we make art, we sing and dance

We begin to use words to talk and start speaking in short sentences.

We encourage following simple directions, help themselves with simple tasks, communicate and create friendships.

We only use positive reinforcement and encouragement. There is no right or wrong way to do things. We take time to teach how to make kind choices, redirecting and offering variety of activities

Our 1:6 teacher-to-child ratio provides each child valuable learning interactions and support as they experience great developmental accomplishments.

With the classroom’s close proximity to the office and our office staff, there is ample help for those days when the toddlers need some extra comforting

Pre-School 2-4

At this age children get more curious about themselves and their surroundings.  Our Program is designed to reinforce their inquisitive behavior and provide the basic tools of learning without distorting their individual lifestyle.

We are focusing on guiding our students

to make good decisions about their behaviors

to cooperate with other children and adults

to communicate with others about their experiences and feelings

to take initiative and solve problems

to gain reading and math readiness skills and concepts

The children learn when it is work time, cleanup time, circle time, small group time and outside time. By calling each period of the day by name, children learn a sense of time and order. Children also learn to identify each area of the room (the art area, quiet area, housekeeping areas and the block area) as well as where materials belong, because each area is labeled with pictures and words.

The daily lessons are organized by the teachers around “key experiences” designed to develop in young children an understanding of:

language and literacy

number

classification

space

time

initiative and social relations

creative representation

music and movement

Pre-K

Fluttering into Knowledge: Pre-K Learning Adventure Program

Our Pre-Kindergarten program is designed to prepare children for success in kindergarten, elementary school and beyond by nurturing their independence, critical thinking skills, and ability to collaborate effectively with others.

We emphasize the promotion of independence within a structured atmosphere. It’s vital for children to learn to think for themselves, make choices, and take initiative. Through various activities and experiences, we encourage our Pre-Kindergarten students to become confident decision-makers and problem-solvers.

We prioritize guiding our students in the following areas:

Making thoughtful decisions regarding their behaviors

Cooperating effectively with both peers and adults about their needs, experiences and emotions

Taking initiative and resolving problems independently

Academic readiness:

Developing required readiness and literacy skills, concepts in reading, math and science

Exploring number concepts and Understanding classification principles

Engaging in creative expression and art, music and movement activities
